Dear friends and neighbours,

Beginning October 22, 2021, the Government of Ontario will introduce enhanced vaccine certificates as a more convenient and secure way to verify your proof of vaccination.

You may have already seen similar technology if you ate at a restaurant recently and scanned a code to see a digital menu. Similarly, each Ontarian can access a unique QR code that corresponds with their vaccination status. These codes can be scanned using the province's new Verify Ontario app.

Please note: enhanced vaccine certificates are not mandatory; you may still use your current vaccine certificate along with a valid form of ID. To obtain your enhanced certificate, visit the COVID-19 vaccination portal and follow the steps as prompted.
